D.I.Y. Duck Tape Flowers

These D.I.Y. Duck Tape Flowers are perfect! No dirt, no thorns, and you don't even need to 

water it. What could be better?

To make this D.I.Y. you will need:

• Duck Tape (preferably one roll of green for the stem and then one other color of your choice to make the petals) 
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Straw (Optional)

1.To make this D.I.Y. Craft first thing you will need to do is take your straw this step is optional, if you have a straw take the green duck tape and wrap around the straw, make sure you wrap the entire straw you don't want any straw showing. Now if you don't have a straw you need to take the duck tape and measure the length that you want  your stem to be. Roll it length wise, so it creates the impression that there is a straw.

2.Once that is done you are  going to want to create some petals to do this you need to cut a 2-inch strip of the duck tape of your choice, then with the sticky side up fold one corner into the center. You need there to still be some stickiness on the top and bottom. Now take the opposite corner that you just folded and again fold it over. Once done it should look like a triangle but you still want the bottom to be sticky.

3.With your first petal done take the stem that you created earlier on and wrap the sticky piece around the top of the stem that will be your center.

4. To make the petals around the center repeat Step 2. sightly overlapping the petals and keeping the tips of your petals even. 

5. To make your leaves on your flower take the same color duck tape and do Step 2. but wrap them around the base of your flower.

These are great, a lot of fun to make and are super easy! 

     

D.I.Y New Year's Eve Glitter Candles

This D.I.Y. New Year's Eve Glitter Candles are a nice and super easy way to add some flare to your New Year's Eve party. Even though the Candles say 2013 you can change the numbers to letters and make them say anything you like. 

What you need:

• Candles (White works the best)
• Glitter (You can either use different colors or the same)
• Removable sticky letters or numbers
• Liquid glue
• Plate (Disposable) 

The first thing you will need to do is get your candles, you need one candle for each number or letter you will be putting on. So in this case you will need four white candles, personally I think white works the best and makes it really stand out.

1. Take your candles and place the removable number stickers directly on the middle of the candle. Make sure it is firmly on so when put the glitter on you won't get any under the numbers and get a messy looking line.

2. The next step is to take your liquid glue and you can either do it in sections or all at once, I think if you do it all at once it looks a bit better and neater.

3. Once you have painted your candle sprinkle glitter all over your candle, the best way to do this step is over a plate. Sprinkle the glitter, then rub your candle in the plate of glitter just to make sure you have covered everything, and then last tap your candle to get all the excess glitter off. If you have glitter left in the plate fold the plate in half (that is why disposable works the best.) and funnel it back into the bottle that your glitter originally came in. You can use any glitter weather it be the same color or different, what ever you want. 

4. Repeat these steps to all of your candles, and let them dry over night.

These are a lot of fun to make and are a great way to decorate, and jazz up anything from your room to a snack table at a party. They make great gifts too.

D.I.Y. Christmas Snowman

This D.I.Y Snowman is very easy to make,
I made it recently for my teachers and they
 all loved it. I had lots of fun making it and
 I think it showed my personality pretty
well.

To make this D.I.Y. you will need:

• 3 jars (either mason jars or just regular spice jars)
• Hot Chocolate
• Peppermints
• Marshmallows
• Black card stalk
• Pipe Cleaners
• Googly eyes
• Pompoms (Black preferably)
• Hole Punch 

To make this D.I.Y. Craft first thing you
 should do is make sure the jars are clean,
 you do this because when you put the
other ingredients in you don't want them
 to stick to the jar.

Next you need to put Marshmallows into
 the one jar, peppermints into the next,
and put hot chocolate into the last jar.
Once you are done hot glue the jars
 together, make sure to use a lot
because you don't want them to
 break apart when handing them
 out to your teachers, family, or
 friends.

Take some pretty holiday ribbon hot glue it
and wrap it around the lid of the second jar,
you can either make a bow out of the ribbon
or buy some little bows at a craft store.

To make the top hat for your snowman you
need to take the card stalk and take the lid
off the top jar that has not been hot glued
 together and trace the lid, that will become
 the top. After you are done that take your
ruler and make a strip of paper the same size.
Last but not least take a tea cup or something
 a little bit bigger than your lid. once you have
 traced and measured everything cut it our and
 hot glue it all together. It should look like a top
 hat, then take a piece of pipe cleaner wrap it
 around and hot glue it into place at the base
 of brim. 

Take 2 pompoms, black is best because it looks
the most like coal. Again, hot glue it into place.
Take 2 googly eyes and hot glue them on, cut a
 bit of pipe cleaner hot glue it into place, and last
 take the hole punch and punch out some black
card stalk stick them on with a hot glue in place
 to make it look like a mouth made out of coal.

Then VOILA you have finished your D.I.Y.
 Christmas Snowman! It is the perfect gift
to give for a Christmas present. People
will see that you have put a lot of thought
into it and you can personalize it however
you want.
